    Amazing!

    Very portable with my WM2 and powerful, majority of my games I’m getting well over 100fps with 120watt bios on an external 4k ultra wide monitor with low graphics settings. On just the WM2 screen I’m getting a solid 60fps 2k, on just using the Oculink cable. Highly recommend this eGPU if you’re looking for something strong and portable.

    Finally a portable GPU I can use

    I bought the G1 for a Framework 13 Ryzen running XUbuntu. Some comments on other sites "convinced" me to order it. My testing is pretty good for a portable scenario (over USB4 only, jan 2025):
    - hot plugging works (make sure bolt service is running)
    - perfomance is much better to 7840U IGP (4500->15000 Firestrike score under proton)
    - I can even warm unplug it, although the amdgpu driver crashes (but does not need rebooting, just to make sure everything is saved; amdgpu seems to have problems when PCI GPU dissappears; not GPD problem, but wanted to mention)
    I don't know how sleep is working, as I'm not using it in linux. Also, I've had little success with G1-connected monitor. Framework-connected external monitor works fine, just like the panel.

    I've wanted an external GPU long time, was ready years ago to buy a Lenovo dock w/ 1050, but could not find one. My scenario is to use the G1 in vacation or business trips (i.e.: rarely) if I want to game. I have a 7900XT for home gaming.

    The eGPU does give a little extra where it needs to when it comes to heavy games and, the docking station definatly comes in handy and as for the m.2 slot. It works with an 8TB as well.
